Yay for the Holidays!

If I could decorate my blog with a tree and lights and all that jazz, I totally would. If I had the time, and a couple more ovens, I would bake cookies for everyone who reads this blog on a regular basis.
But none of the above is really possible right now (unless someone is good with html and can hook me up with some festive blogger codes, that would be great), so I'll do what I can with what I picked up at Michael's over the weekend. I'm finally going to decorate my apartment for Christmas! Granted, it's a small place, so it won't be hard - a bit of garland and some lights, and it'll look like I got Clark W. Griswold beat. But I'm finally going to put up a tree! This is big, because I've never been able to, not for the passed 5 years or so of having my own apartment. I either don't have the money or just aren't around for the break long enough to justify it. But this year... well, I feel like celebrating not only the merry season, but also my graduation! So I plan to do with with a big (read: big as my efficiency will allow), fresh, twinkle light-ridden tree!! I also spent most of Friday at my sister's watching HGTV, so I got a bunch of fun ideas for decorating the other 25 sq ft. of space that I call my home. I'll be sure to post some photos if anything actually works out ;)
Oh yeah, that reminds me... I have more Christmas cards and graduations announcements than I know what to do with (I got the value pack of cards on sale at Kroger a month ago... and the announcements... well, I don't know how many people know that I haven't already graduated). So, if you're interested in receiving either or both, email your addy (skittlememary at hotmail dot com), or leave an IM.
I hope everyone's Thanksgiving was grand. Mine didn't start out like I'd hoped - I didn't get to cook, and only got to watch the last half of the parade - but certainly turned out great. Big giant family in a big new house, plus my appetite magically restored itself just as dinner was ready, so all in all I'm pretty happy with the way my holiday turned out!
By the way, if anyone comes across any fun, holiday-themed tv programming over the course of the season, please be sure to fill me in. I don't want to miss a minute of the primetime cheer!
