Back to it...

So, the Fourth of July daze is over, back to work. Ah well, it was fun while it lasted. We had a party of my sister's on Sunday, to celebrate the baby's first birthday. It was great, actually. We had a bbq, and my uncle brought over a whole wheelbarrel full of fireworks. Everyone hung out until dark and all the dads starting setting them off. It was pretty impressive. I think the cutest thing was when we sang happy birthday to Solanna, and she started clapping along at the end. Ugh, I'll say it again: She's so cute, it's disgusting!!!
Oh, and my aunt made a peanut butter pie, just for me! Yay!
Anyway, I didn't get to see the real fireworks since I had to drive back to campus last night, but that's ok. I had a good holiday with the family. Today, it was back to work. Not too much to do though, so I was supposed to get some homework done... yeah right. Oh well, I'll be doing it this evening, since I'm such a fabulous procrastinator.
Oh, and the new trick my ghetto phone has been doing: battery's been draining after one phone call, then fully recharging itself after I shut it off for a few minutes. One more month!!!
