Man, my legs look fat in that picture. It was the downward angle at which the pic was taken, I assure you.
Anyhoo, my poor excuse for a phone was the only thing I had to keep me busy while I was stranded at a McDonalds in Upper Sandusky. And the bitch didn't even get a signal, so I played Tetris for a half an hour.
I was driving home to see the folks on Thurday when the alternator on my poor car went kaput. Luckily I wasn't standing by the side of the road for too long, though. I had the genious idea to tie my white bandana to my antenna in hopes that someone would get the idea that I need help. Low and hehold, an off duty state trooper came to my rescue! I mean, who else would your mother want to give you a lift if you were in such a bind? The good man radioed dispatch and had them tell my mom where I was (that sounds so juvenile), and gave me a lift to the nearest sign of civilization... McDonalds. Later on my dad and brother in law went back and towed my poor car in. Poor baby was left all alone on the side of the road in Wyandot County for like 3 hours!!
Sadly, I can't say that she's back in action. Oh, the alternator's fixed, but then my dad and bro-in-law went to work on the power steering (the whole reason I was bringing the car home in the first place) and that's when disaster struck. One of them broke something or bent another and now the poor thing is parked beside my sister's barn. It's quite a pathetic site. So what am I driving? My brother in law's ole Ford pickup. I have to pop it in neutral and rev the engine at most intersections, but other than that she runs like a champ. I want my baby back though!
In other news... I might get a new phone this week!!! My cell provider is a big corporate douch bag and they screwed me out of a $75 rebate... but that's neither here nor there. I'll update soon.
