My International Studies professor showed A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving in class today!! Yes, we had an hour of Peace and Conflict Studies lecture, then he said he was going to show a video. I never in my wildest dreams imagined that it was going to Charlie Brown, but I was pleasantly surprised. Now, that can only mean one thing:
It's almost here! Only a few more days til Thanksgiving!!
I am proud to admit that my Thanksgiving tradition is that I actually wake up early to watch the Today show, then the Macy's Parade while we cook (no, I don't watch that damn dog show that's always on afterwards, thank you very much). Then we head over to whichever relative's house is biggest to tear into the food. I have never actually participated in that whole "Black Friday" madness, mostly because I'm always broke, but it looks like fun. Maybe someday I'll be beating down the door at Target to snag the last Tickle Me Elmo (who remembers that chaos?), but not this year.
Well, this will most likely be my only post before the holiday, so... safe travels, enjoy the tryptophan high, don't forget the Alka Seltzer, and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
PS Jen, I'll be sure to eat some extra turkey and stuffing just for you!!
