We're at the 50 yard line!

There, my only minor tribute to this weekend's upcoming festivities.
Anyhoo, it's the fifth week of the quarter, the half-way point of the whole mess. All I know is that I still owe some tuition that I don't really feel like paying because in another 5 weeks I'll be right back to square one.
Well, c'est la vie.
My latest project of interest is the Peace Corps.
I know, way out of left field, especially since I've never really had much interest in the Peace Corps (I dunno, for some reason it never really appealed to me). But, I started thinking about it and decided that the only assignment I would seriously consider would be AIDS education in Africa. I know, I hear ya. Em has already given me some random rape/HIV infection statistic. I'm fully aware of how dangerous it is... but it would definitely put things in a very brutal perspective, and that's the kind of thing I'm looking for.
But don't go getting too concerned just yet, I haven't been sworn in yet. It's just something I'm thinking about. What do you guys think?
PS New favorite quote/mantra:
"Do not dwell in the past, do not live in the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment."

Hey, good luck on any midterms you might have this week!

And good luck thinking about the Peace Corps. One of my friends from college wanted to join the PC, but he couldn't stay clean long enough to pass the drug test. Anyway, I have no doubt that you'd be great at it, if that's what you decide to do!
