50 Things About Me

1. I know way too much useless trivia about movies.
   
2. I like chocolate ice cream, but not ice cream with chocolate in it.
3. I am extremely artistic, but not really that creative. I can draw or paint something beautiful, but don't ask me to come up with it on a whim.
   
4. I am obsessive when it comes to proofreading emails, blog posts, IMs, whatever.
   
5. I love the Food Network. I think I watch at least a half hour of it everyday.
   
6. An extension on #1, we can probably just say I know way too much about pop culture all together.
   
7. I'm really hungry right now.
   
8. I'm loyal, sometimes to a fault.
   
9. I speak French.
10. As proof of #4, I'm dwelling on the fact that most of this list starts with "I." Seriously, it's starting to bug me. Gotta think of a way to change it up.
    
11. I avoided watching Napoleon Dynamite simply because everyone I know was always talking about it.
    
12. The same goes for joining Facebook. But in both situations, I eventually caved.
    
13. I'm not superstitious, but the fact that I'm having a hard time coming up with #13 kinda freaks me out.
    
14. I love scary movies, ghost stories, haunted houses and the like. Absolutely LOVE Halloween!
    
15. My favorite time of year is the fall; college football season, great weather, Halloween, Thanksgiving.
16. Fall is trumped by only one other season: Christmas. I love everything about Christmas, music, cookies, trees, lights, snow... I'm a huge dork, I'm actually a little bummed on Dec. 26.
    
17. My brother used to constantly tell me that I had no sense of humor.
    
18. Now that he's not around, I think my sense of humor has come along quite nicely, thank you.
    
19. Wait, does sarcasm and smart-ass count as having a sense of humor?
    
20. I'm very close to my mom, I tell her everything.
    
21. I'm perfectly content hanging out at home by myself on a Friday night... and I don't think this makes me a loser.

24. I'm a notorious drunken dialer.
25. And I also speak French beautifully when I'm intoxicated (but I haven't yet put the two together).
    
26. I want to be on Oprah one day. I haven't decided yet what for.
    
27. I also want to be on Letterman and The Daily Show. But not Leno, he's kind of a tool.
    
28. Yes, I am a crazy liberal, but you don't have to be in order to be my friend.
    
29. My art teacher in high school once said I have a "skunk" personality; don't mess with me, I won't mess with you. Mess with me, you'll be sorry. (I kinda like that)
30. My favorit drinks (non alcoholic and alcoholic) are: Dr. Pepper, Cherry Coke, Blue Moon beer, cranberry and vodka, plain ole milk, and I'm sure there are more.
    
31. I have a strange habit of writing down or memorizing completely random quotes or sentences that happen to strike me. My current fave: "Are your convictions so fragile they cannot stand the opposition of mine?" -Geoffrey Rush as the Marquis de Sade, in Quills.
    
32. Loud televisions drive me crazy.
    
33. My birthday is in June... and so are my sister's (two days before mine), brother's, and Dad's.
    
34. Speaking of birthdays, I can't say that I've ever had an absolute blast celebrating my birthday. Just a bunch of "okay" days. We'll see if I break that streak this year.
    
35. I really wish I could sing.
    
36. I like to write stories, but I never show them to anybody.

39. Used to force my sister and brother to watch the movie Dumbo over and over when I was little. They still resent me for it. Hah.
    
40. In high school, I was voted "Prettiest Smile."
    
41. I absolutely HATE the movie Selena, yet I'm Mexican. I think they're going to revoke my ethnicity for it.
    
42. I'm surprisingly easy to talk to.
    
43. My closest friends are the same ones I've had since grade school (I may be less one or two, but there are at least two consistent ones).
    
44. My first car was a 1984 Plymouth Tursimo, and I bought it for $50 ($80 if you count what I put out for new radiator).
    
45. I'm not religious by any means, but I keep a rosary and picture of Our Lady of Guadalupe in my apartment.
    
46. I have a dog named Scout, big grouchy cat named Oscar, and another, demonic, feline named Saeti.
    
47. I pride myself on being pretty open minded and non judgemental.
    
48. I have no problem with having my picture taken, but run like a sissy from a video camera.
    
49. I wear a size 9 shoe.
