Look Mama, I Done Graduated!

So, it's going on 5 days since graduation commencement, and I'm just now posting about it. Lo siento.
It may sounds strange, but there's isn't much I can say about the ceremony, except that I'm glad it's over. There were about 2000 graduates (not even kidding), all packed in like sardines. I cannot even image what kind of hell it must be during the Spring ceremony in the football stadium... you know, with about 3 x the amount of people. I was the fifth row to get my diploma, so I was one of the unfortunate bastards who got to sit through the rest of them. Everyone clapped and cheered for the last girl in line, I think she was a little embarrassed.
They save the famous, cool key-note speakers for the Spring Commencements (i.e. Bill Cosby, Christopher Reeve, John McCaine... President Bush :-/ ), so the off quarters usually get someone who's getting an honorary degree. My commencement was no different, but I was pleasantly surprised with him. He was Roy Romer, former Governor of Colorado, and former Superintendent of Los Angeles Public Schools. He was getting an Honorary Doctorate in Public Service. Well, anyhoo, I probably can't sum up the speech well enough to do it justice, so I won't even try. You can probably just safely assume that it was more interesting than whatever President Bush had to say. :-p
So, now everyone keeps asking me if I feel any different. I really don't know what they expect me to say, so I just kinda nod and smile. There really wasn't anything that changed all at once, but a lot of subtle differences that I've noticed over the passed week. It'll just be interesting trying to break 5 years of habits, habits that I didn't even know that I had until now. I begin to dwell on something that I didn't do during one of my classes last quarter, until I suddenly remember, "Oh yeah, it doesn't matter! It's over, I'm done!" Just odd.
Well, now begins the quest for permanent, full-time employment. Wish me luck on that journey, now that the other is complete.
