My First Tree!

Ain't she a beaut?! I know you can't really tell from this crappy camera-phone pic (click on it for a less-blurry view of the same size), but she's a dandy. Popcorn-garland, and fresh pine scent, and all!
Any of you who have seen my apartment must be wondering just how the hell I managed to make it fit. Well, it wasn't easy. I had to get creative with my furniture, but damnit I made it work. Nothing says Christmas cheer like waking up with a fresh, twinkling tree at the foot of your bed (and I'm not kidding, that sucker is the first thing I see every morning - and the first morning I woke up to it, it surprised me!).
I was also right about how much I'd have to spend for a live tree, but I think the $30 was well worth it. It's a white fern (you know, with the soft needles), and I bought it from a Boy Scout troop, so that made me feel a little better about the purchase. I went out on Wednesday after my last exam, and had to drive around for a bit before I found a place. A nice way to celebrate, I think. Not to mention that I finally got it with the money I made selling back my books! Oh, it was meant to be!
